We position the mitigation of negative environmental オンライン カジノ 種類 social impacts resulting from our business activities as an important management issue that must be addressed オンライン カジノ 種類 will take appropriate measures while referencing international principles of conduct オンライン カジノ 種類 guidelines.

Environmental オンライン カジノ 種類 Social Risks to be Identified オンライン カジノ 種類 Assessed

Tokio Marine Group will strive to appropriately identify オンライン カジノ 種類 manage risks that have a negative impact on the environment オンライン カジノ 種類 society in accordance with the Group’s Basic Policy on Environment オンライン カジノ 種類 Basic Policy on Human Rights. For example, deforestation not only has the risk of negatively impacting the environment but also encompasses the risk of human rights abuses, オンライン カジノ 種類 its impacts vary. In identifying オンライン カジノ 種類 managing such risks appropriately, we will identify environmental オンライン カジノ 種類 social risks based on the nature オンライン カジノ 種類 severity of the risks as well as recommendations from various stakeholders オンライン カジノ 種類 will identify the sectors where such risks are likely to occur.

Secオンライン カジノ 種類r specific policies

1. Inhumane weapons

  • Biological weapons
  • Chemical weapons
  • Cluster munitions
  • Anti-personnel lオンライン カジノ 種類 mines
 We will not undertake business transactions (insurance underwriting, investment, オンライン カジノ 種類 financing) with the inhumane weapons sector, which manufactures inhumane weapons, as these pose major humanitarian concerns.

2. Coal-fired power generation

Compared to other power generation methods, coal-fired power generation emits more greenhouse gases オンライン カジノ 種類 also produces toxic substances such as sulfur oxides オンライン カジノ 種類 nitrogen oxides.

Given the high risk of contributing to environmental impacts such as climate change オンライン カジノ 種類 air pollution, we will not undertake new business transaction (insurance underwriting オンライン カジノ 種類 financing) for coal-fired power plantsnote 1, regardless of whether they are new projects or not.

Furthermore, certain group companies with expertise on the energy オンライン カジノ 種類 utilities sector will not provide insurance underwriting オンライン カジノ 種類 financing to companies that derive more than 30% or more of their power from coal-fired power generationnote 2.

3. Thermal coal mining

As with coal-fired power generation, the development of coal mines for power generation projects may result in increased greenhouse gas emissions through combustion at thermal power plants in the future. We also recognize the risks to the workers' occupational health オンライン カジノ 種類 safety オンライン カジノ 種類 the impacts of hazardous waste on local biodiversity.

In light of the negative impacts on climate change, ecosystems, オンライン カジノ 種類 human rights, we will not undertake new business transactions (insurance underwriting オンライン カジノ 種類 financing) for thermal coal mining projectsnote 1, regardless of whether they are new projects or not.

Furthermore, certain group companies with expertise on the energy オンライン カジノ 種類 utilities sector will not undertake transactions for companies that mine more than 20 million tons of thermal coal annuallynote 2.

4. Oil sオンライン カジノ 種類s

We recognize that oil sオンライン カジノ 種類s mining has the potential to emit large amounts of greenhouse gases compared to conventional oil オンライン カジノ 種類 gas extraction methods due to the extraction オンライン カジノ 種類 refining methods that require more energy オンライン カジノ 種類 water resources. We also recognize the risks of infringing indigenous peoples’ rights オンライン カジノ 種類 negatively impacting the surrounding wildlife オンライン カジノ 種類 ecosystems.

In light of the negative impacts on climate change, ecosystems, human rights, we will not undertake new business transactions (insurance underwriting オンライン カジノ 種類 financing) for oil sオンライン カジノ 種類s mining projects, regardless of whether they are new projects or not.

5. Arctic oil オンライン カジノ 種類 gas

Oil オンライン カジノ 種類 gas extraction projects in the Arctic Circle (all areas north of latitude 66°33, including the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, ANWR) entail significant risks of altering the habitats オンライン カジノ 種類 ecosystems of rare species オンライン カジノ 種類 marine life. We are also aware of the negative impacts on the livelihoods オンライン カジノ 種類 cultures of indigenous peoples.

In light of the negative impacts on ecosystems オンライン カジノ 種類 biodiversity, as well as on the indigenous peoples’ rights, we will not undertake new business transactions (insurance underwriting オンライン カジノ 種類 financing) for oil オンライン カジノ 種類 gas extraction projectsnote 3in the Arctic Circle, regardless of whether they are new projects or not.
